The FIR registered at Loni Border police station states, “The accused made an unnecessary video with the complainant and, without verifying the facts of the case, carried out religious discussions on his Facebook, which spread animosity in the community.”

In the video, Abdul can be heard admitting that one Intezar sent some people to him to make the 'tabeez' (occult amulet) and put them in his spell as he had some work from them.

Ghaziabad Police has stated that in their investigation, they had found that the accused and victim were known to each other and there was no communal angle.
