“I see it in the way that they [Central government] turned out to be such a Ram who freed Sita from Raavan but didn’t take her home rather they put her on sale in an open market. So like this, they have left Ladakh open for industrialists and mining lobbies without any protection [from the government],” Wangchuk continued.
Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists took strong objection to the depiction of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita in a poor light in the said act.
Several Hindu activists raised their voices against the post after which the police took cognisance of the event and arrested Abu Talha under section 505 (promoting enmity, hatred) of the Income Tax Act and section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
Congress supporters shared an image which stated that like Sonia Gandhi alias Antonia Maino, who has roots in Italy, Goddess Sita, too, had roots in Nepal.
