The drug bust was jointly conducted by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The drugs seized included 562 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of marijuana.
“Since he (Azhari) is an accused in this offence, his activities in addition to his Trust’s activities and financing will be investigated in detail,” SP Jat said adding that more stringent sections will be added in the case depending upon the findings of the investigation.
The suspects were also in touch with foreign handlers. They had acquired a pistol and ten rounds of ammunition. We suspect that they were planning to commit some terror-related activity.
According to reports, the accused is guided by handlers named Shariful Islam and Shayba, who are the district leaders of a terrorist group in Bangladesh's Mymensingh district.

Arrested BSF personnel Vishal Badia was honeytrapped by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. He was providing information to a virtual online person Aditi.
During the investigation, ATS discovered personal identification documents, digital communication devices such as mobile phones and tablets, as well as a sharp knife.
