Several Canadian social media users accused Justin Trudeau of using the diplomatic standoff with India to divert public attention from Canada's internal issues.
On the 18th of September, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil.
The statement read, "We have seen and rejected the statement of the Canadian Prime Minister in their Parliament, as also the statement by their Foreign Minister. Allegations of the Government of India's involvement in any act of violence in Canada are absurd and motivated.
The Khalistani terrorists also placed posters at the entrance of the temple demanding a probe into India's role in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
