The Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad police has been directed to immediately arrest Imran Khan.

Cleric Mufti Muhammad Saeed who conducted the marriage between Imran and Bushra submitted in his statements to court that Khan had married Bushra Bibi during the latter's iddat, despite knowing everything.

Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday said that the talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan were only possible if the latter "apologise to the nation for the May 9 riots," Pakistan-based ARY News reported. 

Imran Khan emphasised that PTI is the only political party to actively encourage women's engagement in the political process and draw sizable numbers of women and families to public rallies.

The development came amid speculations that the Pakistan govt is mulling banning PTI for the chaos that erupted after the dramatic arrest of its chief Imran Khan

Imran Khan said that Pakistan is going through a crisis like never before and urged the US lawmaker to make a statement on the situation of human rights in Pakistan.

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday claimed that the police have surrounded his house and he may be arrested again.

Imran Khan has accused the federal government in Pakistan of muzzling the media and vandalising the houses of the PTI workers.

"Listen to me Mr DG ISPR... you were not even born when I was representing my country," Imran Khan said.
