An IndiGo aircraft made contact with stationary Air India Express plane awaiting clearance to enter runway for its scheduled flight to Chennai.

The BCAS has imposed a penalty of Rs 1.2 Crore on IndiGo. The DGCA penalised the Mumbai Airport for Rs 30 lakhs while the BCAS imposed a fine of Rs 60 lakhs.

In the viral video, passengers are seen forming groups and having dinner on the tarmac at the Mumbai airport, next to a plane.

A passenger who was agitated by the delay in IndiGo flight slapped the pilot. Video of the incident went viral on social media.

Both passengers have been arrested at the airport police station for being in an inebriated state. Patna Airport SHO Robert Peter said that the police took action after the manager of Indigo filed a written complaint against the accused.
