Russian state controlled international media house RT said that the reports of ISIS claiming responsibility for Moscow terror attack are fake

Police sources indicated that the man is believed to be Musavir Hussain Shazib, a suspected terrorist from the Islamic State's Shivamogga module.

The United States collected intelligence in March that Islamic State-Khorasan, known as ISIS-K, the branch of the group based in Afghanistan, had been planning an attack on Moscow, according to officials.

The CCTV footage obtained from the Rameshwaram Cafe after the explosion showed a person wearing a white hat and mask, carrying a backpack and wearing spectacles entering the eatery.

The prosecution opposed the appeal submitting that the intention of the ISIS terrorist was to wage war against India
