Congress president and Rajya Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge wrote a long post on Twitter (X) first congratulating the country for the success of Chandrayaan 3 and then rushed to credit Nehru for it.
With this, ISRO has achieved two of the three main objectives of the Chandrayaan-3 mission which include demonstrating Safe and Soft Landing on Lunar Surface, Rover roving on the moon, and conducting in-situ scientific experiments.
Chandrayaan-3 mission's Vikram lander successfully landed on the Moon, propelling India to the exalted club of countries who have managed to soft land on the Earth's only natural satellite.
The live telecast of the landing operations will begin at 5:20 PM IST on Wednesday. Live actions of landing will be available on the ISRO website, its YouTube channel, Facebook, and public broadcaster DD National TV from 5:27 PM IST on Aug 23, 2023.
ISRO is bidding to make a successful soft landing on the moon, which will make India the fourth country in the world to achieve the feat after the United States, Russia and China.
