VP Jagdeep Dhankhar said, "These (anti-national) forces are eager to disrupt the nation and derail its development and democracy by creating fabricated narratives."
Dhankhar responded by telling Bachchan that she should understand the necessity of maintaining decorum, even if she is an actress and a celebrity. However, Dhankhar grew angry as opposition members rallied around the actor-politician and protested against him.
The Vice President further slammed the Kharge and other opposition leaders for walking out of the House and said,” You are walking away from your obligations. You are walking away from your duty. Honourable members, they don’t want to participate. They know only how to create chaos…The nation is a priority…”
Praising the pro-people stand of the Indian judiciary, VP Dhankhar said "it is that institution of the judiciary that has met at midnight, met on a holiday, imparted relief."
Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said that the FSL report had confirmed that slogans of Pakistan Zindabad were raised during the victory celebration of Naseer Hussain at the Vidhan Soudha complex.
This panchayat meeting was convened on 22nd December in Faizpur Ninana village, Baghpat, where community leaders and residents expressed strong displeasure over the incident.
