The Election Commission of India has directed BJP to take down a video posted on social media platforms targeting the JMM-led govt in Jharkhand amid the assembly elections.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that two cops of Jharkhand police were caught spying on Champai Soren in Delhi, and they followed the former CM on flight from Kolkata
On Wednesday, Champai Soren told reporters, "I had mentioned three options - retirement, organisation, or friend. I will not retire; I will strengthen the party, a new party, and if I meet a good friend on the way, then will move ahead with them."
Champai Soren wrote a long post on Twitter to mention chronological events that unfolded around his ouster which he has described as a ‘humiliating experience’ and a blow to his self-respect, forcing him to explore his future options.
As per reports, JMM MLA Baidyanath Ram has said that he will not tolerate any insult and will contest the next assembly polls as an independent candidate if needed.
The recent political crises was triggered after Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case, hours after he resigned from the post of Chief Minister of the state. However, despite being in the agency’s custody, the court had allowed him to attend the trust vote
Earlier, the ED said it had recovered cash worth in excess of Rs 36 lakh from the possession of the JMM chief along with documents linked to the ongoing investigation into the alleged acquisition of land by 'fraudulent means'.
