Last evening, the Delhi Police had to enter the Jamia Millia Islamia University to quell the bouts of violent acts accompanying the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Earlier last week, the PCI chairman had sought intervention on behalf of the Council in a writ petition filed by Kashmir Times Executive Editor Anuradha Bhasin in the Supreme Court on communication blockage in Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370.
The five journalists who were booked are Sushil Pandit, Udit Goel, Raman Thakur, who are from Gautam Budh Nagar, Chandan Rai from Sahibabad and Nitish Pandey from Lucknow.
