Every year on December 4, the Indian Navy organises a Beating Retreat ceremony at the Gateway of India in Mumbai to commemorate the audacious attack carried out by the Indian missile boats on the Pakistani Navy headquarters, Karachi on December 4, 1971.
Pakistan had last experienced a locust attack on a similar scale last in 1961. Government officials claim that the locust species will not harm food crops.
Nadeem Nusrat said that in the history of the last 72 years, particularly after the creation of Bangladesh, it has been proven that Pakistan cannot become a nation-state, mainly due to Punjab's hegemony over other ethnic groups.
"While Pakistan demands right to a referendum in Kashmir, is it willing to grant the same right to its own disgruntled ethnic minorities?" questioned Mohajir leader.
