A prominent suspect in the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Ltd scam bought Lamborghini using Rs 3.3 crore from the scam
The 3.16-acre agricultural land was bought by the Siddaramaiah's brother-in-law B M Mallikarjunaswamy during the 2004-2005 period and later gifted it to his sister B M Parvati, in 2010.
"Many MLAs are demanding funds for development works in their constituencies, however, there is no money with the government," Basavaraj Rayareddy said.
The fraud was discovered after the corporation's accounting superintendent, P. Chandrashekhar, killed himself on May 26th. In a note, he claimed that money was illegally transferred from the firm to several accounts.
A complaint was filed against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and nine others for allegedly forging documents to claim compensation from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
