Asiya Andrabi, the chief of banned secessionist organisation Dukhtaran-e-Millat was sent to NIA custody for 10 days by a Delhi court earlier this month along with Shabir Shah of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) and Masarat Aalam of Muslim League. 

The encounter broke out yesterday evening after the terrorists opened fire upon the security forces, who had launched cordon and search operation (CASO) following the inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

Innocent civilians and security personnel have frequenlty been the target of terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

The list has been prepared as part of the effort of the security forces to establish peace in the region by neutralising terror activities.
