In her police complaint, the minor stated that one of the four accused called her fraudulently to his flat, where he gang-raped her with three of his acquaintances.
DSP Singh said that the deceased student had been studying in Kota for the last two years adding that the student took the extreme step a day after his result came in which he had scored less marks.
A 20-year-old NEET aspirant from West Bengal committed suicide in Kota, Rajasthan, marking the 25th suicide by a coaching student in the city this year.
Kota Collector OP Bunkar noted the rising number of suicide cases in the district and stated that the students committed suicide as they did not score good marks in the test conducted on Sunday. He pressed on the need for the students to be stress-free and said that no tests would be organized by the coaching centers for the next two months.
Meanwhile, DSP KS Rathore said that the NEET aspirant has denied attempting suicide or being depressed, however, he added that an investigation has been initiated into the matter.
The victim has been recognised as Pushpendra Singh, a native of Jalore, a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. He had only recently arrived in Kota and had signed up with a coaching facility to get prepped for the NEET exam.
