DSP Singh said that the deceased student had been studying in Kota for the last two years adding that the student took the extreme step a day after his result came in which he had scored less marks.
According to media reports, the 21-year-old NEET aspirant hanged herself to death in her hostel room on Wednesday night. She had spoken to her father over the phone in the night before taking the extreme step.

Kota Collector OP Bunkar noted the rising number of suicide cases in the district and stated that the students committed suicide as they did not score good marks in the test conducted on Sunday. He pressed on the need for the students to be stress-free and said that no tests would be organized by the coaching centers for the next two months.
