The Pune Police had arrested Gautam Navlakha and four other activists on August 28 in relation with their alleged involvement in the Elgaar Parishad and the Bhima Koregaon violence.
Interestingly, the Delhi HC has also initiated contempt proceedings against Journalist S Gurumurthy for calling out the alleged bias of Judge S Muralidhar.
After the bail pleas were rejected, the defence lawyers sought a week's stay on implementation of the order so that they could file an appeal in the High Court, but the judge did not grant a stay.
The house arrest of all the three activists will be ending today and the Pune police can take them into custody and produce them in the court for additional interrogation.
