An Asansol councillor from the ruling party TMC had appealed to Muslims on social media that the only way to defeat and cure coronavirus is to perform Azaan.
Gen Singh (R) reminded the police to wear gloves as they use the sticks on deter people from loitering around amidst the lockdown to prevent getting infected with coronavirus.
"We have arrested two miscreants and their motorcycle has also been seized. They have been booked under Section 353 of IPC (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty). It's a non-bailable offence", said Bengaluru police.
