Dangal actress Zaira Wasim has quit Twitter and Instagram after receiving criticism for her insensitive post.

Several areas in Eastern Africa, Pakistan, and India have seen attacks by massive swarms of locusts recently. However, it is not understood why the former actress is insinuating these locust attacks as some sort of Islamic curse upon a specific group of people whom she refers to as 'arrogant'.

The swarms of locust, which entered the country from Pakistan have now become a headache to farmers as the pests are spreading like wildfire in states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

Farmers in Gujarat are now worried as they are facing massive locust attack from Pakistan, the neighbouring country the state shares its border with.

Pakistan had last experienced a locust attack on a similar scale last in 1961. Government officials claim that the locust species will not harm food crops.
