Lok Sabha Elections

Election Commission of India announced the polling dates for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The polling will be done in seven phases starting from 16th April 2024.

West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Saturday said that his priorities are to combat violence and corruption during polling.

Elections to 543 Lok Sabha constituencies will be held in seven phases, but the total of seats in all phases is 544

While the BJP has not only managed to deflect INDI Alliance parties like the JDU and RLD, and is likely to forge an alliance with the BJD in Odisha and TDP-JSP in Andhra Pradesh, the Congress-led I.N.D.I. The Congress will contest in 24 out of the total 26 seats in Gujarat. The remaining two seats will see AAP candidates, Bharuch and Bhavnagar

The Congress is set to contest 17 seats from the largest state while the Samajwadi Party and other small parties in the alliance will contest 63 seats.

Since taking office in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has implemented numerous flagship projects. These schemes have attempted to solve fundamental problems that could not be solved from 1947 to 2014.
