“I resolved not to wear stitched clothes. I will wear a Khadau. Till then I will remain like this. Since then my penance has been going on. On the 22nd, when my God gets established in his home, then I will ask for his blessings and have a full meal," the saint said.
The accused is said to have posted a derogatory photo of Lord Rama and abused the Hindu deity further in the comments section of the post. The Police booked and arrested the accused under section 295 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
The accused have been booked under sections 307, 324, 323, 452, 504, 506, 141, 143, 147, 149 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Several sections of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 including 37 (1), 37 (3), and 135 have also been imposed against the accused.
