The official statement issued by the Umbre Gram Panchayat Karyalaya read that the parents of the victim girls and the others from the Hindu community are scared to send their daughters to school and tuition after the recent case of Love Jihad came to the fore from the village.
As per the sources, the around 3-4 girls filed a complaint against tuition teacher Heena for imposing Islamic way of life on them and pushing them into love jihad trap.
The Assam chief minister who also oversees the Home Department, called it a "open-and-shut case," and said the chargesheet would be filed within the next 15 days.
In her complaint, the victim stated that the accused intimidated her and threatened to make her intimate videos viral if she does not convert to Islam.
