On the face of it, it is true. Of course, Hindu men commit crimes against Hindu women, just like Muslim men commit crimes against Muslim women, Sikh men against Sikh women, Christian men against Christian women and so on. These crimes are of diverse nature, some very serious.

The victim and a girl named Tamanna were classmates, which led to the development of their friendship. Tamanna introduced the victim to her brother, Arman Ansari who forced the victim to convert.

Members of the Hindu organization complained that the accused identified as Ashif Manan lured and trapped the Hindu girl by posing as a Hindu and then forced her to convert her religion to Islam.

The family members also stated that their daughter has become a victim of Love Jihad and that she has defamed their family in the society. "We had dreams of doing Kanyadaan for her but now we are forced to do Pind daan," brother of the girl said.
