The accused, Intezaar Khan and his family, are running an ASR gym in the Shahberi area of the local police station, in which the victim was given a job as a manager in June.

The woman said that the accused and his family members physically abused her and forcefully converted her religion to Islam. They also gave her a new name and called her 'Sufiya Khatun' after conversion

As per media reports, the reported incident took place in the Pump House colony of South Eastern Coalfields Limited.

According to police, the deceased woman and the accused were in a live in relationship. The accused Riyaz Khan is already married and some reports say he has 3 wives.

The incident came to fore after Bajrang Dal District President Pintu Kaushal learned about the victim and contacted the victim's family. The woman registered a complaint after Kaushal encouraged her to seek justice and report the incident to the Police.

Asif had intimidated the victim into silence and threatened to kill her family members. He also forced her to sign on a blank piece of paper.
