It has been alleged that Uday Reddy has been working online to create tensions between Meitei and Kuki communities on religious grounds in Manipur. The FIR has been registered with a police station in Imphal East district under Sections 117 (abetment), 295-A (insulting religious sentiments), 153-A (promoting enmity between communities) and other relevant provisions of law.

The police have arrested two illegal infiltrators from Myanmar residing in the Churachandpur district of Manipur. Two fake identity cards were recovered from their possession. The police said that they are investigating numerous such cases.  

According to MSU, the population of Myanmar nationals is now higher than that of the local Maring Naga tribe in 6 villages in the Tengnoupal district of Manipur. .

The truck was stopped by a frenzied Kuki mob, who then drove it away and set it ablaze near Alex Farm on National Highway-2 (between Kangpokpi Town and Changoubung).

The meeting on Manipur Violence was held at Raisina Hill’s North Block. Home Minister Amit Shah chaired the meeting. Army Chief General Manoj Pande and Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla were among the key officials present at the meeting. Notably, CM N Biren Singh was not a part of the meeting.

It is said to be on the lines of “Zalengam” [land of freedom], a proposed Kuki State. This separate nation would comprise large parts of Sagaing Division and the Chin state of Myanmar, the Indian state of Mizoram, and Kuki-inhabited areas of Manipur, and the Bandarban district and adjoining areas of Bangladesh’s Chittagong division.

The viral videos showcase the Kuki militants moving towards the Jiribam district in Manipur from land and water routes.

38 illegal immigrants were deported to Myanmar from Manipur on June 11, bringing the total number of illegal Myanmarese migrants deported to 115 since March 8th.

Chief Minister Biren Singh was planning to visit Jiribam, which has been tense ever since a man was beheaded by unknown attackers on June 6.

"He was in touch with the insurgent group, Kuki National Front (KNF)-B of Myanmar, for logistics support to aggravate the volatile situation in the state of Manipur and create terror in the minds of the people," the NIA said.
