Arora has been declared an approver in the same case being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Manish Sisodia is accused in cases that concern irregularities in the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy. He was arrested on 26 February on allegations of corruption in connection with the formulation and implementation of Delhi's 2021–22 excise policy.

"The possibility of tampering with evidence and influencing witnesses cannot be ruled out and Section 45 twin condition isn't satisfied. Bail Denied," said the court.

ED has said that Manish Sisodia has received kickbacks of Rs 2.2 crore for doing favours in the excise policy.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed the bail plea of Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, in a CBI case related to alleged corruption in the implementation of the previous liquor policy in the national capital.
