Ram Kripal Yadav is contesting against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Misa Bharti, daughter of former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, from the Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency.
Misa Bharti repeated the same old anti-Modi rhetoric in her speech. She said that the four Shankaracharyas were not invited to the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony, and all the capitalists were invited there.
The alleged scam occurred when Yadav was Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009. Apart from the RJD leader, the chargesheet also includes the name of the then Railway General Manager.
Lalu Prasad Yadav reportedly obtained benefits in the form of the transfer of land and property in the names of his family members in exchange for the appointments in Group “D” posts in various Railway zones.
India Today reported that the case is linked to a 'land for job scam' wherein jobs were offered in exchange for lands and plots when Lalu was the Railways Minister.
Tej Pratap Yadav is the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. There have been reports of power tussle between him and his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav on who would be the rightful heir of his father to lead the political party.
