The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi has approved the development of eight access-controlled national highway projects with a total length of 936 km.
While there are 2000 to 3000 houses constructed within a short span of time, these houses have been built by people from Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. A Bhaskar report says that these non-MP residents have constructed as many as 32 houses each with one sole motive—Muavza [compensation].
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the upgradation of the 47 km long Miryalaguda to the Kodad Section of NH-167 to two lanes with paved shoulders. The improved connectivity will boost tourism as well as economic activity and industries in the region.
The explosive device was taken into possession after a controlled detonation. Police officials added that a major tragedy was averted with the detection of the IED.
The police are trying to identify the driver who caused the accident using CCTV cameras installed at houses and shops on NH9. There are no such cameras available on the National Highway that can provide some leads.
