The Indian government has launched an investigation into Netflix India, focusing on allegations of visa violations, tax evasion, and racial discrimination.
In its plea, ANI has stated that the makers of the IC814 series have used ANI footages that show clips of PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Pakistan’s General Parvez Musharraf, and terrorist Masood Azhar, and others without any license.
In a recent interview, comedian Rajiv Thakur revealed that it was popular comedian Kapil Sharma who encouraged him to take up the role in IC814 as he was about to turn down Anubhav Sinha’s offer, citing scheduling issues.

After much outrage from the viewers and after being summoned by Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Netflix has agreed to add a small disclaimer at the start of IC814 series
The updation of the disclaimer for IC814 series comes after the content head Netflix India Monika Shergill met the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Delhi on Tuesday.
Indian Airlines Flight 814 was hijacked on 25th December 1999 while it was en route to Delhi from Kathmandu. It was carried out by 5 terrorists belonging to the Islamist outfit 'Harkat-ul-Mujahideen.'
