The Indian government has launched an investigation into Netflix India, focusing on allegations of visa violations, tax evasion, and racial discrimination.
The PIL seeking direction to ban Netflix's series "IC 814 The Kandahar Hijack" has been withdrawn from the Delhi HC saying that Netflix's addition of a disclaimer with the real names of the terrorists addressed the concerns raised in the PIL.
After much outrage from the viewers and after being summoned by Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Netflix has agreed to add a small disclaimer at the start of IC814 series
The updation of the disclaimer for IC814 series comes after the content head Netflix India Monika Shergill met the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Delhi on Tuesday.
Further, the actress added that the film's team did not expect a film passed by the censor board and already released in theatres, to be removed from an OTT platform.
