A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Delhi on Thursday sentenced 10 years of imprisonment to Syed Maqbool, one of the accused in the Indian Mujahideen conspiracy case.
Suspected ISIS terrorist Shahnawaz had married a Hindu woman named Basanti Patel, a resident of Gujarat. After marriage, he got his wife converted to Islam, and her name was changed to Maryam.
The NIA said Seiminlun Gangte was involved in a transnational conspiracy hatched in by Myanmar-Bangladesh based terrorists to “wage war” against India.
The BKI operative Landa and his associates are wanted in an NIA case pertaining to terrorist activities that are aimed at "disturbing India's peace and communal harmony and spreading terror in Punjab."
"On March 18, slogan-shouting Khalistani supporters had broken through the makeshift security barriers raised by the city police and put up two so-called Khalistani flags in the Consultate premises, damaged the consulate building, assaulted and caused injuries to the consulate officials", the NIA statement read.
