A dreadful incident of attack on an army officer and molestation of his fiancee by cops inside a police station has come to the fore from the state of Odisha
Odisha Police have instructed Special Security Battalion personnel to remove tattoos that are visible while wearing uniforms on their bodies within 15 days
The Police officials stated that the brothers borrowed a huge amount of money and were not able to repay the lenders following which they hatched a plan to cheat government employees.
During raids, numerous incriminating items were taken from their possession of the accused persons, including laptops, 19 mobile phones, 47 pre-activated SIM cards, 61 ATM cards, and 23 SIM covers.
The VHP, and Bajrang Dal have called for a 12-hour bandh in the western districts of Sambalpur, Debgarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Balangir, Subarnapur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Koraput, Nabrangpur, Malkangiri, and Rayagada.
Videos of the incident show continuous stone pelting near a masjid and adjacent lane. The bikes and scooters used in the rally are seen lying scattered as the stone pelting disrupts the bike rally. Police personnel were seen making futile attempts to prevent the mob from attacking.
"I don't have trust in Odisha Police. I gave up the PSO appointed by the state government for my protection," Odisha Leader of Opposition and BJP leader Jayanarayan Mishra said
