Delhi police informed the Delhi HC that an FIR was filed against Rahul Gandhi in 2021 for revealing identity of a minor rape victim

Kerala HC denied bail to soldier Anwar Hussain who is accused of persuading a minor boy to have sex with him for money.

The Madras HC ruled that POCSO Act and IT Act do not make it unlawful to download and consume child pornography.

The court said, "The applicant is also of a tender age of 26 years, and they come together out of a love affair. It seems that the alleged incident of sexual relationship is out of the attraction between the two young persons and it is not the case that the applicant has subjected the victim to a sexual assault out of lust."

The victim girl mentions in the FIR that she has been raped and sexually exploited by the accused. The complaint also mentions accused Sheikh's wife Sofiana who threatened the victim.

The complainant has stated that she was being blackmailed over intimate photos and videos.

The woman filed a false complaint accusing some people of an offense against her daughter that was booked under Section 5 of the Pocso Act (aggravated penetrative sexual assault). "This false information was given to "extort property" from the accused," the court said.

Shivamurthy Sharanaru, who heads the Murugarajendra Vidyapeetha Mutt, has been an accused in two separate POCSO cases.

"These five life sentences will run concurrently," read the court judgment. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 7,20,000 on Alam, a migrant labourer hailing from Bihar.
