The decision to promulgate an ordinance was taken after the Supreme Court refused to stay the Allahabad High Court's March 9 order for removing the state government's posters displaying photographs and names of the rioters involved in damaging properties during the anti-CAA protests in December last year.
A Supreme Court vacation bench comprising Justice UU Lalit and Justice Aniruddha Bose said that the matter involves "issues which need further consideration by a bench of sufficient strength" and referred it to a larger bench for consideration next week.
The posters have been put up on the streets of Lucknow following the orders passed by CM Yogi Adityanath. The rioters, who were accused of damaging government property during the anti-CAA protests, have been given notices of recovery for damaging properties.
According to Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao, the young woman was present at a protest organised by Hindu Jagaran Vedike where a woman had shouted "Pakistan Zindabad" on Thursday.
The small kids, who seem to have no idea regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act, have been used as a 'prop' at these protests, where they held posters in support of the deceased kid.
Following these anti-India protests, an unidentified person has been booked for sedition under IPC section 124A in the Jayalakshmipuram Police station of Mysuru.
Shiv Sena leader and Thackeray-scion Aaditya Thackeray had also dismissed the 'Free Kashmir' placard at the protests and said that we need to "look at the larger picture".
