BJP Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya has demanded an independent investigation into the allotment of 19 acres of government land to an Institute run by the Kharge family’s trust, “free of cost”.
As per reports, in March 2024, the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) allotted 5 acres of land in the Aerospace Park near Bengaluru to Siddhartha Vihar Trust (trustees include the Kharge family).

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday announced that the state government will withdraw the order banning hijab in schools and colleges in the state. He stated, "the choice of clothes is one's own prerogative".
