The announcement for this year’s Vipassana sessions comes at a time when the party faced heavy defeat in the recently concluded assembly elections. It lost deposit in 201 out of 204 seats and scored less than NOTA in all 3 states.
"The five election states in total have 84 seats in the Lok Sabha of which BJP has 65 seats. But if you extrapolate the votes in the assembly election to Lok Sabha seats, if the BJP gets the same number of votes in 2024 as it did in the assembly polls, then its Lok Sabha seats will drop from 65 to 50," Chadha said.
Supreme Court directed AAP MP Raghav Chadha to tender apology to Rajya Sabha Chairperson in relation to his suspension from the house over the allegations of forging signatures of MPs.
The court has ordered Raghav Chadha to file an application for temporary relief with the city court within three days and has ordered the trial court to rule on it first in accordance with the law.
