The 34-year-old Afzal Shah came to Ajmer, Rajasthan, from Madhya Pradesh only seven to eight days ago.

Violence and communal tensions broke out in the Soorsagar police station area in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on Friday night (21st June) over construction of gates at Eidgah

The clash took place on Friday night over a dispute regarding the opening of gates and a police force was deployed in Soorsagar area in Jodhpur to control the violence.

The arrest took place as the ACB received information that Asha, who is currently working at the Heritage Nagar Nigam Jaipur was accepting bribes in exchange for recruitment as sweepers.

It has been said by the local Hindus that the local Muslims are continuously harassing them through various tactics and even pressuring them to sell their houses to Muslims. Frustrated due to the perpetual harassment several Hindu families are reportedly migrating from the area.

The family has claimed that Pujari Akhilesh committed suicide as he went into depression after a suspended Policeman filed a false case against him under the SC/ST act and started blackmailing him to extort money. 

Apart from changing the section of the offence, Rajasthan High Court further stated that for the offence under Section 354 I.P.C., the accused-appellant is sentenced to the period already undergone by him.

The two met through Instagram where the offender befriended the victim and lured her into a romantic relationship with him.

The police have now registered a case in this matter following the victim's father's complaint. The victim's father told police that his daughter became friends with a girl at the coaching centre in October of 2023.
