In his statement, the victim’s father said that despite filing a complaint for an FIR between 6-7 pm, the police delayed registering the FIR until 11:45 pm. This contradicts the claims made by Kapil Sibal, counsel for the Mamata Banerjee-led-West Bengal Government, in the Supreme Court.
