When the three judge bench questioned lapses in the probe into the RG Kar rape and murder case, Kapil Sibal, representing the state, shifted the responsibility onto the parents of the deceased doctor.

Notably, the apex court has taken suo moto cognizance of the rape and murder case that took place at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on 9th August.
"The parents of the victim girl refused it (money) because they didn't want to be a part of the game played by the chief minister," informed Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya.
