A Rohingya family consisting of six members has been arrested from the Unakoti district of Tripura on Saturday after they had illegally crossed the Bangladesh border and entered India, according to reports.
Responding to a question by BJP MLC Munirajugowda, the state Home Minister Araga Jnanendra in September had stated that the Central government is yet to issue clear guidelines on deportation of Rohingyas settled in different parts of the country.
While the United Nations has been advocating the inclusion of refugees, the question remains whether the incoming migrants are willing to assimilate with the culture of the host nation.
