Investigating officer in SK Sreenivasan murder case received death threats - all accused in the case are from PFI

In December last year, the workers of the Social Democratic Party of India (the political wing of the PFI) murdered BJP leader Ranjith Sreenivasan in the Alappuzha district of Kerala. The perpetrators broke into Sreenivasan’s house in the wee hours on December 19 and hacked him to death.

A RSS worker, identified as Jimnesh, died in the Panunda area of Kannur district in Kerala after a clash between the RSS and CPI(M) in the locality a day ago

Kerala High Court observed that PFI and SDPI are extremist organisations, which have not yet been banned

PFI members had shortlisted names of at least 100 BJP and RSS leaders prior to the murder of Sreenivasan.

On April 16, the SDPI attackers armed with machetes had attacked RSS leader SK Sreenivasan inside his shop in the Melamuri area of Palakkad.

Sreenivasan, a former Physical Education instructor of the RSS, was murdered by a group of assailants who arrived on three bikes.

The accused CPI(M) members are charged with murder of RSS member Janithottathi Manoj and an attempt to murder of one Mr Pramod. 

Sanjith's wife had requested a CBI probe into her husband's murder alleging that the family was not content with the probe by Kerala Police

Sanjith was an RSS mandal boudhik pramukh of his area and one of the most prominent workers of the Sangh in Kerala's Palakkad district. He is survived by his wife, a one-year-old daughter and mother.
