Mumbai Cyber Police has filed an FIR against a gaming website and a Facebook page in the case related to deepfake video of Sachin Tendulkar.

Taking to X, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar assured that the Ministry will shortly notify strict rules under IT acts making it mandatory for platforms to comply with the rules to curb misuse of AI and tackle deep fakes. 

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has become the latest victim of the malicious creation and dissemination of deep fake content.

Tendulkar, known as 'Master Blaster' for his ability to blast his way through any bowling attack and his sheer mastery over every skill, technique and shot in the book, this right-handed batter entertained and mesmerised the entire world with his batting from 1989-2013.

Sachin Tendulkar's blistering knock of 143 in Sharjah against Australia in 1998 immortalised the legend of Master Blaster.
