SDPI which is the political wing of the banned PFI declared that it would contest only 16 Assembly seats in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 in order to help Congress

Congress has sought the support of SDPI , the political wing of banned Islamist outfit PFI, for the upcoming polls in Karnataka.

With the ban on PFI, SDPI is trying hard to re-group its cadres and strengthen the party in Karnataka, reports India Today

The party members alleged that the CPI-M local committee secretary Sheed Mohammed had business relations with one SDPI leader.

Praveen Nettaru was hacked to death by unidentified assailants on 26th July 2022. NIA has filed a charge sheet in this case in January 2023.

In the document named 'India Vision 2047', the PFI has circulated internally among its cadre that they aim to completely dominate the 'coward Hindus' and subjugate them and this goal will be achievable even with 10% of Muslims rallying behind PFI.
