In its response, the Archaeological Survey of India attached its survey details from 1920. The Krishna Janmabhoomi temple complex was listed at number 37 among a group of 39 monuments.
"Kashi, Mathura and Ayodhya are very special for Hindus as they are associated with the lives of Bhagwan Shiva, Bhagwan Krishna and Bhagwan Ram. Muslims have no sentiments for the mosques built here," he reportedly said.
The petitioners stated that it is important to understand the religious history and the significance of the site and it can be achieved through proper scientific survey.
