On 19th August, propaganda portal The Wire watered down the incident and called the attack on Hindu student merely as an 'injury'. Despite being confirmed by the police later that day that the Hindu student succumbed to injuries, The Wire did not edit the report.
UK PM Keir Starmer said, "We’ve seen Muslim communities targeted. Attacks on Mosques. Other minority communities were singled out. Nazi salutes in the street. Attacks on the police. Wanton violence alongside racist rhetoric. So, no, I won’t shy away from calling this what it is: Far-right thuggery."
The Islamists carried out the attack ahead of a political event against growing Islamism in Europe by an organisation named Citizens’ Movement Pax Europa (BPE).
