A mob of around 40-50 Islamists attacked a businessman and pelted stones at his residence and shop in Maharashtra’s Hingoli alleging him of blasphemy, they also attacked police

The gang members collected the stones from the nearby railway track and attacked the Mumbai police personnel.

Violence erupted in Sambhal after a court-ordered survey of Jama Masjid, as Islamists gathered and started pelting stones at the police.

The incident is believed to have happened when Muslims in huge numbers reached the spot to cast their votes. The Police then began controlling the crowd, checking the IDs of all the voters in line and asking them to follow the due procedure and discipline. Following this the crowd began pelting stones at the police after which the latter resorted to using a pistol to disperse the crowd.

The incident reportedly unfolded in the Mali Manaiha area in Dumariyaganj, Siddarth Nagar, after which the outraged Hindus staged a protest demanding action against stone pelters and blocked the road.

Speaking to OpIndia, Kishan said Abdul Hamid and other rioters had planned to make Gopal Mishra's body disappear so the case would have been of a missing person and not murder.
