The Times of India spoke to intelligence sources, who informed that the investigating authorities are trying to find a 'pattern of violence' between the Hanuman Jayanti celebrations and the stone pelting on Ram Navami processions.
A mob of about 300-400 people came on roads and it is reported they beat up people who were driving past. The mob then also broke the idol of Sai Baba in nearby temple.
In the aftermath of the violence against the Hanuman Jayanti procession in Jahangirpuri in Delhi, two main accused Ansar and Aslam have been sent to police custody.
In a video shared by GauGyan Foundation, several burqa-clad women were seen harassing the police who had gone to the site to prevent illegal cattle slaughter. While refusing to co-operation, the mob began obstructing the cops in the line of duty.
