In yet another setback to the Shiv Sena (UBT), party leader and Deputy Chairperson of Maharashtra Legislative Council Neelam Gorhe joined the Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde
Hoardings of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi chief Prakash Ambedkar with Aurangzeb's picture in it, were put up in the Mahim area of Mumbai, police said on Thursday.
Thackeray, who claims to be a devout Hindu and speaks volumes on Hindutva, followed the same template that the West followed by claiming Swastika was the symbol used by Nazis. However, in reality, it was Hakenkreuz, or the Hooked Cross.
Shiv Sena (UBT) led by Uddhav Thackeray hit out at the BJP govt accusing it of practising a version of Hindutva that the party has referred to as 'Gaumutradhari Hindutva.'
Uddhav Thackeray took cognizance of the ruling and attempted to teach 'ethics' to the incumbent Chief Minister and the Dy Chief Minister. He said that CM Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis should resign if at all they have any ethics left.
"Petitioners argued for restoration of status quo ante. However, Thackeray did not face the floor test. Had Uddhav Thackeray not resigned, the status quo could have been restored," the Court said.
