A Delhi Court has sentenced all convicts including expelled BJP leader Kuldeep Singh Sengar to 10 years imprisonment for murder of the Unnao rape victim's father.
The Unnao rape survivor's father died in judicial custody on April 9, 2018, six days after he was brutally beaten by Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his brother Atul while he was returning to his village Makhi.
On December 16, Former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar was convicted in the Unnao rape and kidnapping case by Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court. The court had convicted Sengar for rape under the sections of IPC and the POCSO Act for raping a minor.
The victim said that her family members were hit by the molesters when they objected, also alleging that police refused to take action against the accused.
After the Unnao victim was burnt to death by the rape-accused, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra claimed that over the past 1 year, over 90 cases of rape were reported in Unnao
