Based on a complaint by the woman's husband, the police took immediate action and arrested Shoaib Khan under the relevant sections of the law.

The incident is believed to have happened in February this year however, it came to the fore only after the video went viral over social media prompting the parents of the victim to file a police complaint on 8th October.

On 8th October another case of spitting on food items by duo Naushal Ali and Hasan Ali was reported from Dehradun

Arshad has already been arrested by the authorities in Lucknow in the love jihad case. The probe in all three cases is currently underway.

A total of 8 two-wheelers and a police vehicle were destroyed. The police reached the station immediately after being informed.

As reported earlier, The accused Maulvi, Shabbir Raza, was arrested on 18th August from Malsi village in Uttarakhand's Rudrapur. Raza arrived in Malsi only two months before his arrest as he was earlier living in Rampur Shahbad. The heinous crime came to the fore when one of the minors narrated her ordeal to her family members on 16th August.

When the Police intervened and held discussions with concerned locals in several villagers, the text on many such banners was amended and they replaced ‘non-Hindus’ and ‘Rohingya Muslims’ with outsiders.

Three people have alredy been booked by the Uttarakhand Police for spredaing fake news over the incident.
